Our days on the weekend when  Sam is not at school start with reading stories to Sam. It's either Gramps or Grandma that are on duty with Dogger being the favorite

Au weekend quand Sam n'est pas a l'ecole,on lit  ces histoires preferees, au lit de mamy et papy, en donnent un peu de repos a Joanne et Greg.

Then it was off to the Gym to burn off the excesses of the night before and a plunge into the swimming pool

Puis au gym pour les exercises et deux longueurs de la piscine.  Il faisait froid!  Richard seulement, je ne suis pas folle!

Jo and Greg had organised a party of all the friends of theirs that we know.....with the warm evening it was a chance to have a BBQ in the garden with kids enjoying themselves

Jo et Greg ont organise une reunion de tous ses amis que nous avions deja recontres ..... il faisait assez chaud pour un BBQ dans le jardin avec les enfants qui s'amusaient bien.

Sam's day ended with his books before bedtime

Gramps, Jo and Sam out on the bikes for a ride out for breakfast....meeting up with Grandma and Greg in a cafe by the harbour with Sam playing with the toys and the team enjoying coffee or tea!!

Papy, Joanne et Sam sont partis en velo pour un rendezvous dans un cafe au bord du port avec Mamy et Greg.  Sam jouait avec les jouets du cafe pendant que l'equipe prenait du cafe!

Then it was off to the party of Thomas, one of Sam's friends

Puis Sam etait invite pour une reunion pour feter l'anniversaire d'un de ces copins de la maternelle!

Next stop was the swimming baths with all the team in the pool

Puis toute l'equipe dans la piscine

By this time we're all pretty tired and hungry so it was off to the Italian restaurant and back home to see Australia beat the All Blacks....somewhat of a surprise!

Maintenant nous etions un peu fatigues!! et donc il fallait manger!   Tout le monde a un resto tres amicale pour diner italien.  Puis on a regarde le match Australie contre les Blacks - une petite surprise que les Australiens ont  gagnes!!!

Arrival in Sydney - Arrivee a Sydney

Arrived in  Sydney 6.00, picked up hire car and then to Jo and Greg's house.....very pleased to see them and Sam. It wasn't long before we were off to the park so that Sam could show us his new car, how he could climb and throw stones!! A visit to the cafe was then necessary with Sam tucking into a smarties biscuit .....almost bigger than him!

Nous sommes arrives a Sydney a 6.00 heures, et sommes arrives chez Jo & Greg a 8.00 heures - tres contents de les voir!!!  Il nous fallait aller au park toute suite avec Sam ou il nous montrait son nouveau voiture rouge, comment il pouvait grimper, et lancer les cailloux.  Puis un petit cafe ou Sam a mange une biscuit avec les Smarties, qui etait presque plus grosse que lui!

Alix was around in the evening for a meal and Sam became a Wales supporter wearing the hats we have for the world cup matches involving Wales.

Alix mangeait avec nous le soir ou Sam est devenu un supporteur de Pays de Galles avec un de nos chapeaux gallois.

24 August/Aout - Day in London.....Une journee a Londres

Thanks to Alain with a very early start from home we caught a flight from Toulouse to London and with a express train from Heathrow to the city we were in London mid morning. A visit, for the first time, to the underground War Cabinet Rooms close to Horse Guards Parade was excellent. Here we saw where the war effort during the Second World Wwar was directed....very well presented. Included was the history of the Prime Minister at the time, Winston Churchill, month by month during his life with memorabilia, letters, speeches, etc...Worth the visit!!Cabinet War Rooms website

Grace a Alain nous etions a Blagnac de bonne heure, et avec un vol a Londres nous avons passe la journee en visite.  Nous avons visite les Salles du Cabinet du Gouvernement britannique pendant le deuxieme guerre mondiale ou il y avait une exposition des souvenirs de la vie de Winston Churchill, le premier ministre pendant le guerre, et sa via longue et tres interessante.

Then it was back to Heathrow and the flight to Sydney via Dubai. Not so comfortable this trip because there were no upgrades.

Puis nous sommes retournes a Heathrow et le vol a Sydney par Dubai.  Le A380 etait plein et pas de surclasse cette fois - donc tres tres longue!

We fly to Sydney on wednesday arriving early friday morning
Nous avons un vol depuis Toulouse a Londres, puis Dubai, Sydney, en arrivant a Sydney vendredi matin.
Spend the week with Alix, Jo, Greg and of course Sam
Passez une semaine avec Greg, Jo et Sam, bien sur.
Michel and France fly out and arrive  on 2 September and we have a weekend together in Sydney
Michel et France vont partir jeudi 1 septembre et arriveront a Sydney vendred 2 soir; nous allons passer le weekend a Sydney avec les filles, Alix et Joanne, Greg & Sam.
Then on the monday we drive to the Hunter Valley for two nights.
Lundi nous allons aux vignobles de Hunter Valley pour 2 nuits.
The first day there we have a wine tour! and the following day, weather permitting, a balloon flight over the valley.
La premiere journee on va faire un circuit des vignobles, avex beaucoup de degustation! (dans un bus) et le lendemain, on va faire un vol dans un mongolfier a l'aube.
Then it's back to Sydney for an overnight stay at Sydney airport before flying to Auckland
Puis on rentre a l'aeroport de Sydney pour un vol de tres bonne heure jeudi matin a Auckland.
Down to Kate's to stock up the campervan then it's off to Wellington and our first visit to the Plummers
Nous allons rouler chez Kate & Vaughan jeudi apres midi - 4 - 5 heures de trajet) et vendredi on charge le campervan.  Samedi on roule a Wellington (4 heures) ou nous allons rester chez nos amis, les Plummers, qui nous ont offert leur jardin pour le campervan!
Our first match is on Sunday 11 September......Wales v South Africa
Premier match est Dimanche 11 septembre, PAYS DE GALLES contre AFRIQUE DU SUD
The following day we take the ferry to South Island for four days then back up to North Island and Kate's
Le lendemain nous partons pour l'Isle de Sud pour 4 jours par ferry pour visiter et puis on rentrera chez Kate pour un longue weekend.
In Napier is our first French match .........France v Canada on 18 September  This is also Vaughan's 50th birthday weekend and Alix is arriving for the week.  We will be celebrating in a nice restaurant in Napier Saturday night, and then visit Napier, with other French I'm sure, during the Sunday before the match.
Chez Kate, a Napier - notre premier match francais - FRANCE contre LE CANADE, dimanche soir.
Ce weekend on va feter l'anniversaire de 50 ans de Vaughan dans un resto a Napier et Alix arrive pour une semaine le samedi.
We then have the best part of a week travelling between Napier and Auckland before the match France v All Blacks!
Puis nous avons une semaine a visiter NZ avant d'arriver a Auckland pour le prochain match, le plus grand match pour Michel & France, FRANCE contre LES BLACKS! le 24 septembre.
The next Wales match is a few days later in New Plymouth....Wales v Namibia on 26 September
Le prochain match est PAYS DE GALLES contre NAMIBIA a New Plymouth le 26 septembre.
We then are staying for three nights at Caniwi Lodges in the Taranaki regionhttp://www.caniwilodge.co.nz/
Puis nous allons rester pour 3 nuits a la campagne aux chalets www.caniwilodge.co.nz.
Back down to Wellington we go with a stay in Wanganui for France v Tonga when we'll be celebrating Dick's birthday 1st October ..........a special birthday
Retour a Wellington pour FRANCE contre TONGA le 1 octobre - anniversaire tres important pour Richard!
Next day it's a sprint up to Hamilton for Michel and France's last game....Wales v Fiji, an important one for the Welsh
Le lendemain, c'est un trajet rapide depuis Wellington a Hamilton pour le prochain match, PAYS DE GALLES contre FIDJI a Hamilton - un match tres important pour les Gallois!
Sadly shortly after this it's home for Michel/France via Los Angeles - around the world and home to Toulouse.
Malheureusement bientot apres ce match, Michel et France vont nous quitter pour leur vol a Los Angeles et Londres - chez eux.
We're then back down to Wellington for the two Quarter finals followed by back up to Auckland for the second semi final
Nous allons rester encore 2 semaines pour regarder 2 matchs de Quart Finale a Wellington et un match de demi finale a Auckland.

Dimanche 21 aout

This is what life in Sariac has been over the last few weeks....eating/drinking with our French friends.
This morning we have done all sorts of jobs before leaving for Oz and NZ. All is prepared with almost everything reserved including sites for the campervan in NZ. Looking forward to meeting up with the girls and friends in Australia and New Zealand including new friends, the Plummers, in Wellington.

Cette photo montre notre vie recente en France - beaucoup (trop!!) de fetes etc avec nos amis francais.  Ce matin on a commence a charger les valises et d'amener les poules chez Alain et Renee.  Nous sommes tres excites de revoir bientot nos filles, la famille et nos amis la-bas, y compris nos amis nouvelles, Paul et Nicky Plummer a Wellington.
