Murchison to Nelson - Murchison a Nelson

The start of our day was in rain in the campsite in Murchison http://www.kiwipark.co.nz/ .We had two excellant nights here and it is to be recommended. The town of  Murchison is set in a valley where three rivers join as you can see below with many fine walks

Notre journee a commence dans la plue a Murchison.  On a passe 2 nuits tres bien.  La ville de Murchison est situee dans une vallee our 3 rivieres se recontrent, et il y a plein de bonnes randonees.

There is a small unique church the built in 1904 is very pretty and survived a massive earthquake which demolished much of the town but left the church intact:

Il y a une petite eglise construite en 1904 qui est tres jolie et qui a survie un tremblement de terre qui a detruit presque toute la ville, mais pas l'eglise.

Our route took us from Murchison to Nelson for a lunch break and visit to the town:

A midi nous etions a Nelson.

Here we had the chance to see the coast with at last fine weather after a very rainy morning

Enfin de beau temps apres une matinee tres pluvieuse.

Then it was off through the beautiful valleys in the region to Blenheim, with a stop at Pelorus Bridge:

Puis en travers les jolies vallees dans le quartier de Blenheim, avec une etape a Pelorus Bridge.

With the sunshine we had the chance to see some magnificant coutryside, calm and very little traffic

Au soleil, on a eu la chance de voir le paysage jolie, calme, et sans circulation.

We then had time to taste the wines in Blenheim with the vineyards set in a broad valley surrounded by hills. The St. Clair vineyard was worth a visit and along with other wines we tasted the Merlot was very good!
