Samedi matin nous sommes alles regarder Sam jouer au rugby. Puis tout le monde s'est deguise en bleu, pour regarder l'equipe de France joue contre la Tonga dans le stade a Wellington. Meme les Plummers, qui normalement etaient tres pour les Blacks!

First stop the Bruhaus for lubrication before the match and the chance to meet Paul's two daughters, Frances and Christine. Lubrication took the form of ''Old Speckled Hen',' a favourite of Alain back home in Sariac!
D'abord nous nous sommes arretes au Bruhaus (un pub tres renomme a Wellington) ou nous avons rencontre les deux filles de Paul, Frances et Christine. On a beaucoup bu la biere, "Old Speckled Hen", une biere tres connue par Alain a Sariac!

It must be said though that there was perhaps more support for Tonga particularly from the Kiwis and this was obvious when the team completed the Haka
Il faut dire qu'il y avait plus de soutien pour les Tongans, particulierement des Kiwis et ceci etait claire quand l'equipe faisaiat le Haka
Unfortunately for us French supporters there was only one team playing that afternoon and it wasn't the French. At the end when it was clear that Tonga were going to win there were very many in the crowd who celebrated their success and the atmosphere was superb
Malheureusement pour nous les supporteurs francais, il y avait seulement une equipe qui jouait cette apres-midi et ce n'etait pas les francais. Au bout quand c'etait evident que les Tongans allaient gagner, tout le monde dans le stade fetait leur victoire et l'ambiance etait superbe.
Today was a special day for one member of the team.......Anniversary of Richard/Dick celebrating some considerable number of years!! Today was made extra special by Paul and Nicky who had organised a party and cake and all benefitted from an excellent evening. Meeting Paul, Nicky and the boys earlier this year by chance is the best thing that's happened to the Shamblers in 2011:
Aujourdhui c'etait le 65eme anniversaire de Richard et on a fete son anniversaire le soir chez Paul et Nicky qui ont organise un gateau et la champagne! La rencontre coincidentale entre Paul, Nicky et nous en fevrier 2011 a ete la meilleure chose qui s'est arrive cette annee!
